Build Kubernetes-native infrastructure platforms with our comprehensive Crossplane training catalog. From understanding core concepts to building production-grade multi-cloud platforms, we offer courses covering every aspect of Crossplane for all experience levels.

  • Control plane model and Kubernetes extension
  • Providers, Managed Resources, and reconciliation
  • Composite Resources (XRs) and Claims (XCs)
  • Composition Functions and pipelines
  • XRD schema design with OpenAPI validation
  • Composition patterns — patch-and-transform, functions
  • Connection details and cross-resource references
  • Versioning and safe update strategies
  • Multiple provider configuration
  • Provider-agnostic abstractions
  • Cross-cloud networking and data services
  • Credential management at scale
  • Self-service infrastructure APIs
  • Golden paths and environment templates
  • Backstage and service catalog integration
  • Policy guardrails with OPA and Kyverno

Every course includes practical labs in real Kubernetes environments:

  • Lab Clusters — Pre-configured clusters with Crossplane installed
  • Cloud Sandboxes — AWS, Azure, and GCP accounts for provisioning
  • Guided Exercises — Step-by-step instructions with explanations
  • Challenge Labs — Test your skills with real scenarios
  • Capstone Projects — Build complete platforms

Every training is available in multiple formats to fit your team’s needs:

FormatDescription
In-PersonOn-site at your company’s location. Hands-on with direct interaction.
Live OnlineInteractive virtual sessions with screen sharing and real-time labs.
HybridCombination of on-site and remote sessions with flexible scheduling.

All formats include hands-on labs, course materials, and post-training support. Pricing is custom per engagement based on team size, duration, and delivery format.

For Beginner Courses (Fundamentals):

  • Kubernetes basics (Pods, Deployments, Services, kubectl)
  • Basic understanding of at least one cloud platform
  • Familiarity with YAML and declarative configuration

For Intermediate Courses (Compositions):

  • Crossplane Fundamentals or equivalent experience
  • Strong Kubernetes knowledge (CRDs, RBAC)
  • Basic programming experience helpful

For Advanced Courses (Multi-Cloud, Platform Engineering):

  • Crossplane experience with Compositions
  • Multi-cloud and networking knowledge
  • Kubernetes administration experience (CKA-level)

How does Crossplane compare to Terraform? Crossplane runs inside Kubernetes and continuously reconciles infrastructure state — it’s a control plane, not just a CLI tool. Terraform is better for one-time provisioning; Crossplane excels at ongoing management and self-service platforms.

Do I need Kubernetes experience? Yes. Crossplane extends the Kubernetes API, so Kubernetes fundamentals are a prerequisite. Consider our Kubernetes Fundamentals course if needed.

Can Crossplane replace our existing IaC tools? Crossplane complements rather than replaces tools like Terraform. Many teams use Terraform for bootstrapping infrastructure and Crossplane for application-level resources and self-service.

Every training is customized to your team’s experience level and goals. Contact me to discuss your requirements, preferred schedule, and delivery format.
