Using FileZilla with HTTP Proxy

Step 1: Download and Install FileZilla

You can download FileZilla from the official website: FileZilla Download Page

Step 2: Open FileZilla

Once installed, open FileZilla.

Step 3: Configure Proxy Settings

  1. Go to Edit > Settings.
  2. In the settings window, navigate to Connection > FTP > Proxy settings.
  3. In the Proxy type dropdown, select HTTP/1.1 using CONNECT method.
  4. Enter your proxy details:
    • Proxy host: The hostname or IP address of your proxy server.
    • Proxy port: The port number that your proxy server uses for connections.
    • Username and Password: If your proxy requires authentication, enter your username and password here.
  5. Click OK to save your settings.

Step 4: Connect to your Server

Now you can connect to your server using the File > Site Manager option. Enter your server details and click Connect.

Remember, the proxy settings you configured will be used for all connections until you change them.

Troubleshooting

If you’re having trouble connecting, check the following:

  • Your proxy details are correct.
  • Your server details are correct.
  • Your proxy server is running and accessible.
